May releases ‘Big Bad Handsome Man’
With the success of her Platinum selling album ‘Love Tatoo’ Dublin’s Imelda May is getting ready to release ‘Big Bad Handsome Man’ off the album.
The Meteor Award winning singer has won legions of new fans both here at home, and in London where she is based with her funky rock-a-billy sounds.
The new release will no doubt go down a treat with existing fans, and may well win her lots more.
Imelda May is also gettig ready for a mini Irish tour in June with dates in Electric Avenue, Waterford on the 9th; Dolan’s Warehouse, Limerick on the 10th; Black Box, Galway the 11th; and Vicar Street, Dublin on the 13th and 14th. And she’ll also be back for some festival antics in September for Electric Picnic.
Eagles Cancel Galway Gig
The Eagles have cancelled their June 28th show that was to take place in Galway’s Pearse Stadium citing “unforeseen circumstances” as their reason.
The American legends’ visit to Dublin’s RDS on July 2 is still due to take place however, with tickets for the Galway gig valid for this show.
Fans with tickets for the Galway show can swap their tickets by calling 0818 762 125 or do so from the point of purchase up until 8am on Thursday April 30.
Meanwhile, fans who purchased tickets for the Galway show over the phone or internet will be automatically issued with a refund to their credit card, which will appear within the next three to five working days. Tickets bought through outlets should be returned to point of purchase for refund.
Simple Minds Announce Irish Dates
Simple Minds are to bring their Graffiti Soul Tour to the O2, Dublin on December 9th and The Odyssey Arena, Belfast on the 10th. Their fellow 80s survivors OMD are to support them for the shows. Tickets priced €49.20 go on sale on Friday April 24.
Cohen For Show Number Four
After his third show proved a complete sell-out, Leonard Cohen has added a fourth and final night to his Dublin mini-residency at The O2 on July 23rd.
Tickets are to go on sale on Monday April 27th priced from €90, so be sure to get them for your last chance to see him!
Folk Singer Fretwell Announces Irish Dates
The Manchester based folk singer Stephen Fretwell returns to Ireland at the end of May for a short Irish tour. Dates include:

Monday 1 June: Roisin Dubh, Galway
Tuesday 2 June: Cyprus Avenue, Cork
Wednesday 3 June: Dolan’s Upstairs, Limerick
Thursday 4 June: Academy 2, Dublin
