After the success of the Meteor’s on Tuesday night (Check out IMTV’s Orange Carpet Coverage!!) all the musical talent of the country is geared up and ready to play to the nation once more! So heres the ins and outs of who’s playing and where this coming week!

Thursday March 19thSnow Patrol kick off their four night take over of the Odyssey in Belfast and from what I can see there are still tickets available for most of the shows. They had a successful stint in The O2 recently so if you missed out on that then why not make a weekend out of it in Belfast!

Also tonight in The Odessa Club, Dublin as part of the weekly Vodafone Live Gigs, Hoarsebox are taking to the stage their tonight. The band are getting ready to release their new single ‘All I Need Now’ from the ‘Cuckooland EP’.

Friday March 20th – Sees the long awaited start of Mogwai’s three nights in The Academy. Friday and Saturday nights are sold out but a limited amount are still available for Sunday night! I shall be in attendance on Friday night and can’t bloody wait!! So watch this space for a review on their gig early next week!

In The Button Factory tonight Togetherness are launching their debut CD. ‘Togetherness’ are a stellar quartet whose players will be familiar to anyone with a keen eye on the Dublin jazz scene. The launch of their debut album is an introduction to a relatively new Irish group with real creative intent. Doors are at 8pm and tickets are priced at €15 (includes your personal copy of Togetherness CD)

Also tonight Crayonsmith and Givamanakick play Whelan’s.

Saturday 21stHalfset play the Belltable, Limerick. 8Ball play Whelan’s. Iain Archer plays Upstairs in Whelan’s. Stairway to Zepplin, perhaps one of the most famous tribute bads play The Button Factory tonight.
